General Dynamics to Support White House Communications Agency


FAIRFAX, Va. – General Dynamics Information Technology, a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), has been awarded a $7 million follow-on contract to support the White House Communications Agency (WHCA) Technology Installation program.

Using a Synchronous Optical Network (SONET) backbone for external connections, General Dynamics will support the complete transition to Internet Protocol (IP)-based infrastructure for all communication. The U.S. Army Information Systems Engineering Command is the contracting authority for this one-year contract. Under a previous contract, General Dynamics evaluated the WHCA’s communications systems and facility support infrastructure
