Hastings RNLI lifeboat was called out on Monday (16th March) for the second time in a week to evacuate a sick seaman.

The lifeboat launched after Dover Coastguard had received reports from the car-transporter ‘City of Rome’ that they had a crewman on board who had fallen ill. It was agreed that the Hastings lifeboat would rendezvous with the ship and the two boats eventually met over 10 miles off Hastings.
