Ultra Electronics to continue supply of HiPPAG to the US Navy

Gloucester, U.K., 29 April 2009 –[ASDWire]– Ultra Electronics announces that its Precision Air Systems business has received an order for a further 150 High Pressure Pure Air Generators (HiPPAG) from the US Navy.

This latest order brings the total number of HiPPAGs purchased by the US Navy to over 2,500 systems, including in excess of $25 million dollars of orders since this requirement was last competed in 2006.

HiPPAG is installed on the LAU-127 and LAU-7 weapons launchers on the F/A-18 to provide a continuous source of high purity compressed air as a cooling source for AIM-9M Sidewinder missiles.
