Space Systems/Loral Delivers the Intelsat 14 Satellite to Florida Launch Base

PALO ALTO, Calif., Sep 30, 2009 (GlobeNewswire via COMTEX News Network) -- Space
Systems/Loral (SS/L), a subsidiary of Loral Space & Communications (Nasdaq:LORL)
and the leader in high-power commercial satellites, today announced that it
delivered a satellite built for Intelsat, the world's leading provider of fixed
satellite services, to the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida, where it
is scheduled to launch later this year aboard an Atlas V rocket. The Intelsat 14
satellite (IS-14), which includes the first Internet Router In Space (IRIS),
expands on SS/L's experience integrating hosted payloads on commercial spacecraft.
