Bucket ratings expert, Jim Teeters worked out Sojana's temporary sloop rating after they suffered a broken mizzen boom on the first day, and gave them a 4 minute start advantage over second starting boat, Rebecca and a 29 minute start on Visione.

Hawker Beechcraft to Headline Singapore Airshow with Hawker 4000

WICHITA, Kan. (Jan. 30, 2010) – With the recent certification by the Civil A
viation Administration of China and deliveries underway in the region, the 
flagship Hawker 4000 is setting a positive tone in Southeast Asia for Hawker 
Beechcraft Corporation (HBC). HBC and its international dealer, Hawker Pacific, 
will display a Hawker 4000, along with a Hawker 750 and a King Air B200GT, at 
the biennial Singapore Airshow from Feb. 2-7 at the Changi Exhibition Center 
in Singapore. The 2010 show is expected to attract more than 40,000 visitors 
from 112 countries. The HBC and Hawker Pacific exhibit will be located at 
Chalet CD-31.

Boeing Provides First Look at 787 Stall Tests

EVERETT, Wash., Jan. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Boeing (NYSE: BA) 787
Dreamliner pilots conducted the program's first stall tests - in which pilots
intentionally reduce power to both engines and then recover normal flight
speeds - as part of the initial airworthiness program for the airplane.
Additional stall tests will take place throughout the flight test period.

When invited on the modern J-Boat Ranger, which numbers among her traditional themes no safety rails when racing, you can also count on some heart-in-the-throat moments of exhilaration – only tempered a bit by good, healthy, watch-what-you're-doing fear. It truly doesn't get much better than this, even in the rarified atmosphere of superyacht racing, than the thrill of racing on a gorgeous, and very competitive Super-J in one of the worlds most scenic racing venues.

It's Evolution Racing by a whisker...

30:01:2010 Once again it came down to a final day showdown in the Racing
Class. Both crews on Ray Roberts TP52 Evolution Racing and Neil Pryde's
Welbourn 52 Hi Fi were pumped up and raring to go. Some old fashioned
America's Cup style circling started the sequence, then they broke away
and headed for the startline with speed. Geoff Hill's TP52 Strewth and
Nick Burns / Fred Kinmonth Mills 51 EFG Bank Mandrake also joined in and
tried desperately to throw a spanner into the works. Neil Pryde hit the
line first at the pin end but Ray Roberts was a couple boat lengths to
windward with Strewth on their hip and Mandrake taking the weather
