Filey’s new RNLI lifeboat on early morning launch

Filey RNLI inshore lifeboat D728 called out early on Monday 28th June 2010.

At 5.00am a request was received from the Coastguard, to the RNLI Filey Lifeboat Operations Manager to launch one of the station’s lifeboats. A report from a Fisherman onboard the Coble Gentle Barbara had spotted a rowing boat adrift in Filey Bay, with apparently no one onboard. Filey RNLI’s new Inshore Boat D728, due to be named Braund (Friday 2nd July 2010), was launched.
