A brother and sister were rescued yesterday (Sunday 29 August) by Arklow RNLI lifeboat volunteers when the small dinghy they were in got into difficulty a half mile south of Mizen Head. The Coast Guard was alerted when a member of the public at the European Golf Club saw that a dinghy appeared to have capsized and two people were in difficulty in the water. Arklow RNLI was immediately requested to launch.
