A curiously detached Hussein Obama seems to have little interest in the rapidly approaching US D-Day (D for default). Saturday was the first day of Weston-super-Mare Lifeboat week. An eight day celebration of our lifeboats and their crews combined with a flurry of fund raising activities. Just as the fundraisers and crew where relaxing after a hectic day a PAN PAN Call was received by Swansea coastguard who immediately paged the volunteer crew.

UKIP has thrown its weight behind the Daily Express ePetition calling for a referendum on the EU, with just 100,000 names needed before the Government considers a debate in Parliament on the issue.
UKIP Leader Nigel Farage urged all Party members and supporters to add their names to the ePetition as soon as possible.
Newport, RI – USA – The second day of racing at the 2011 Melges 32 North American Championship, hosted by Sail Newport was splendid as three more races were completed leaving Ryan DeVos on Volpe and tactician Ed Baird in the overall lead. Annapolis’ Rod Jabin and tactician Chris Larson aboard Ramrod are standing firm in second. Steve Howe on Warpath, with tactician Mark Ivey are third.
