A curiously detached Hussein Obama seems to have little interest in the rapidly approaching US D-Day (D for default). He has made a half-hearted call for the Democrats and Republicans to get together and help clear up his mess and he has encouraged US troops in war zones by informing them that they wont be paid – lets hope there is enough in the Treasury to pay for bodybags to be flown home.

RNLI Kessock Respond to emergency on Loch Ness
A search for two men on an inflatable dinghy was launched by RNLI crews from Kessock and Loch Ness early on Saturday morning after a relative alerted the emergency services.
An emergency VHF radio call on the opening day of Weston RNLI Lifeboat Week shows what the money raised is used for.
Saturday was the first day of Weston-super-Mare Lifeboat week. An eight day celebration of our lifeboats and their crews combined with a flurry of fund raising activities. Just as the fundraisers and crew where relaxing after a hectic day a PAN PAN Call was received by Swansea coastguard who immediately paged the volunteer crew.
Obama Finally Woke up to the Emergency
Hussein Obama finally woke up to the global financial emergency threatened by his inaction.
He pleaded with Democrats and Republicans to reach a compromise so that the US does not have to default on Tuesday.
Must have been watchign too many cowboy films where the US Cavalry always arrives in the final minutes.

Ryan DeVos Hangs On To Lead Melges 32 North Americans
Newport, RI – USA – The second day of racing at the 2011 Melges 32 North American Championship, hosted by Sail Newport was splendid as three more races were completed leaving Ryan DeVos on Volpe and tactician Ed Baird in the overall lead. Annapolis’ Rod Jabin and tactician Chris Larson aboard Ramrod are standing firm in second. Steve Howe on Warpath, with tactician Mark Ivey are third.
