HS2 ‘A Grand Folly’ Says Business Group

ehs 0

HS2 was a political project from the Blair Brown Regime. Intended to prop up the Labour vote in their rotten boroughs, HS2 is now being disowned by Labour politicians in the hope that it will damage the Coalition Government. It is a mystery why the Liberal Government of “Clueless” Cameron would want to promote this seriously flawed Labour project other than the fact that some of the most serious ecological damage will be done in traditional Conservative constituencies and “Clueless” never shrinks from damaging Conservative interests. Ed

The Government has rounded on a business lobby group after it called for HS2 to be scrapped, describing the high speed rail scheme as a “grand folly”.

Farage: MPs reflected ‘the will of the country’ on Syria

NigelFarage-389625 1

Parliament has reflected “the will of the country” by refusing to back the Government on any possible military action in Syria, Ukip leader Nigel Farage has told Daybreak

He added that the Prime Minister’s attempts to get MPs’ backing on the issue “represents his worst misjudgement.”

Mr Farage refuted claims that opting out of intervening in Syria made the UK a smaller country on the world stage as Britain had “set a good example” after “the mistakes” of wars in Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya.

UKIP calls on William Hague to resign following Syria vote

William Hague

Following the government’s defeat in the House of Commons on intervention in Syria, UKIP calls on William Hague to resign.

The Foreign Secretary has been a continued supporter of Britain intervening militarily in Syria, including the arming of anti-Assad ‘rebels’.

In doing so he has demonstrated how utterly out of touch he is with Parliament and public opinion and so should step down from his role as Britain’s chief representative on foreign affairs.
