WICHITA, Kan., May 29, 2014 – Cessna Aircraft Company, part of the Textron Aviation segment of Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT), today celebrated the rollout of the first production unit of the Citation CJ3+ at the company’s manufacturing facility in Wichita, Kan. The new aircraft was first announced on March 20 of this year, and it is expected to receive Federal Aviation Administration certification during the second half of the year.

—A massive explosion ripped through the 998-tonne Japanese tanker Shoko Maru sending flames leaping into the air. The vessel’s captain is missing. Seven other crew members were rescued, but four are being treated in hospital for severe burns. Latest TV footage shows that, though the fire appears to have been extinguished, firefighting vessels remain at the scene.

Skipper Bouwe Bekking announces two more crew

The Netherlands – After four months of intensive training, Team Brunel skipper Bouwe Bekking announced two more crew this Monday during a private event in The Netherlands. According to the race rules, every team shall include two sailors under the age of 30 onboard and Bekking has chosen 25-year old Louis Balcaen (BEL) and 27-year old Rokas Milevičius (LIT) to cover these two spots. Only one position remains to complete the sailing crew.
