An awards ceremony full of emotion

nov-2815-ts

We know about the business of awards cermonies. They are one of those obligations because it is the opportunity to officially celebrate the winners, thank all those who contributed to the success of the event, and put a full stop on the race. Behind it, there will be some secret get-togethers, a last toast to friendship, a planned stroll in a little circles on the beaches of Guadeloupe, but the piquant flavour of the race will gradually fade.

Hurricane Sandra broke a record in the hurricane history books as the latest major hurricane on record in the Eastern Pacific Ocean. On November 26, 2015 at 0706 UTC (2:06 a.m. EST). Sandra had winds of 125 knots (144 mph) at that time making it a category three on the Saffir-Simpson hurricane wind scale. On Nov. 27 NOAA’s GOES-West satellite captured an image of Sandra, although now a Category 2 hurricane continues its approach to landfall in Western Mexico.

Would You Walk A Mile In Jezza’s Shoes?

Would You Walk A Mile In Jezza’s Shoes?
by reevoguido

The auction for a pair of Jeremy Corbyn’s shines shoes has reached a staggering £230. The Labour leader’s knackered size 11s are being sold on eBay to raise money for the Small Steps Project, a charity that helps children living in landfill sites. A noble cause indeed, although Guido can’t imagine who would want to be in Corbyn’s shoes right now…

Jez isn’t the only Labour leader to donate their old footwear to the charity however, with Ed Miliband kindly giving up a pair of his rather more upmarket Black Oxfords. Sadly, they’re generating rather less interest, and at the time of writing they’ve only managed to fetch £31.

Where are the Milifans when you need them?

Tory MP Bob Stewart Calls Islamist Scumbags “Bastards” On Morning TV
by reevoguido

Tory MP and former Colonel Bob Stewart referred to Islamist Scumbags “these bastards” on ITV this morning. Col Bob’s nonplussed look as Eamonn apologises for the profanity is a particular highlight…

Andrew Fisher Suspension Lifted

Andrew Fisher Suspension Lifted
by WikiGuido

Corbyn aide Andrew Fisher, the crackpot who wrote abusive tweets about Labour MPs and backed a rival party, has been let off with a warning by the party’s NEC and had his suspension lifted.

Worth noting that Corbyn supporters have a majority on the NEC. Are Danczuk, Reeves, Flint et al going to take that?

Classic conditions return for Pinang to Langkawi Race
By AsianYachting MultiMedia
27th Nov 2015: When Aussie Maid did her first RMSIR in 1991, the members of the Royal Selangor Yacht Club warned the crew that the Pinang to Langkawi leg would be very windy, if the North East Monsoon arrived. They were right and the Maid went on to set a new benchmark time, to the Pelangi Beach Resort finish line, that was never bettered.
