The Royal 22e Régiment Takes On Tough Competition at Leapfest

Ten members of 3rd Battalion, Royal 22e Régiment will be testing their parachuting abilities at Leapfest from August 1 to 9. Organized by the Rhode Island National Guard, the competition is in its 34th year and provides technical and skill-demonstrating opportunities to parachutists from around the world.

OSHKOSH, Wis., July 28, 2016 – Boeing (NYSE: BA) and Alaska Airlines announced today at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh that the Seattle-based airline will begin modifying in-service Boeing Sky Interior 737 airplanes with more spacious Space Bins in the coming year.

Quantum Racing Top of the Pops after One Direction Day

Part of the ‘Despatches From The Front’ Series, this presents a fine collection of highly detailed reports as primary source material. The war in the Far East has often been called the Forgotten War but the campaigns in East Africa received even less attention. This book will be welcomed by historians and enthusiasts but its affordable price makes it available to a wider readership. Most recommended.

The newly enlarged Panama Canal will be the focus of Exercise PANAMAX, led by Chile, Colombia and Peru. Canadian participation in the U.S. Southern Command- sponsored exercise consists of 10 Regular and Reserve Force members from 5th Canadian Division from July 29 to August 5.

Emmanuel Tahar, Chief Executive of Third Bridge, comments on Harley-Davidson’s second quarter results:

“Harley-Davidson’s had a challenging quarter in its core US market. Our surveys have shown that dealer sentiment on new motorcycle sales has taken a more negative turn since the start of the year. Nevertheless, the majority of respondents still share a positive outlook for the brand and believe it retains its leading position in the market today – although it continues to fight off a threat from Polaris’ Indian motorcycles. But Harley have a loyal customer base, and the popularity and attendance of HOG’s Rider Academy for first time riders is potentially a bright spot for the future.”
