E SCOW BLUE CHIP: MATT SCHMIDT OUTSAILS THEM ALL
Congratulations to Matt Schmidt and the V-736 team for winning the 52nd E Scow Blue Chip!
Every year, Pewaukee Yacht Club’s Blue Chip regatta invites the very best sailors from the E Scow class plus one legendary Mystery Guest. Sailors always look forward to duking it out against a world-renown sailor. This year Caleb Paine, 2016 Olympic Bronze Medalist, took to the waters of Pewaukee Lake, winning the final race.
“To judge the quality of E Scow sailors is to index the very best that American sailing has to offer. National, International, World, Olympic, and America’s Cup champions and legends are scattered across the historic E Scow records. Pewaukee’s strong scow tradition makes it a perfect stage for the ultimate showdown,” said Andrew Cambpell.
“It’s always a great time at the Blue Chip. The E Scow is one of the most refined one-design classes in the world,” said Dennis Conner.
