School Walkouts FOR the Second Amendment

Did you know that students are planning over two hundred school walkouts FOR the Second Amendment on May 2nd? An initiative called Stand for the Second was started by Will Riley, an 18-year-old high school senior from Carlsbad, NM. He started standforthesecond.com for students that want to protect their Constitutional rights in light of heightened calls for gun control after the Parkland tragedy.

Rep. Jim Jordan calls out the sham vote to reign in spending with the balanced budget amendment.

Last night, I was on a conference call with Will and students from coast to coast, from Baltimore to Spokane, from New Mexico to North Carolina. These students are so inspiring to hear.

Some realize their schools are such liberal strongholds that they may face consequences with school administration for leaving class. They are going to walk out of class anyway. One student has friends who agree with him on the Second Amendment, but so far he is the only one willing to stand up. He is going to walk out anyway. One student said his principal will not approve the event, yet the school announced on the PA system the walkout earlier in March.

And yet, others are dealing with the left once again having walkouts for gun control at their schools today and are texting asking for help on how to message and talk to their fellow students. These are students standing strong for our values!

Will and the Stand for the Second students need help recruiting more students and spreading the word. Let’s help make their event a huge success.

Here is how you can help:

Recruit Others to Join

Are you a student, parent, legal guardian, or teacher who supports the Second Amendment and all of our rights? If so, please organize an event at your school. Do you know a student, parent, legal guardian, or teacher who supports the Second Amendment and all of our rights? If so, please ask them to check out Stand for the Second to organize an event.

Thank you for all you do for our freedom. Thank you in advance for what you are going to do to help these students Stand for the Second.

Please note: Tea Party Patriots Citizens Fund was considering how to assist students and parents within our organization when we learned of the launch of Stand for the Second. Because we are grassroots activists with experience, we recognize the importance of maximizing the efficiency of effort – in other words we know the value of ensuring that we are not duplicating someone else’s efforts. So, instead of organizing high school students ourselves, we offered our experience and our assistance to Stand for the Second. We created a map of all of their events and a how-to organize guide to help the student organizers.

It’s important to understand that while we are pleased to offer assistance and guidance, this effort is not driven by Tea Party Patriots Citizens Fund. It was created and is driven by high school students. Ours is a supporting role.

In liberty,

Jenny Beth

PS. Yesterday we sent an email asking you to support Congressman Jim Jordan for speaker. We embedded a link to a post we shared on Facebook with a video of Jordan, but the link was broken for many people. We’ve included a link of that video on C-SPAN for those of you who were unable to see it yesterday. We encourage everyone to watch it!
