VT Halter Marine launches Virginia DOT’s newest ferry
August 13, 2018 — VT Halter Marine, Inc. reports that it has successfully launched the Virginia Department of Transportation’s (VDOT) newest ferry, the Powhatan.

Davie awarded $610 million for AHTS-to-icebreaker conversions
Public Services and Procurement Canada says the contract with Davie will help to secure up to 200 shipbuilding jobs and will ensure that shipping lanes in the St. Lawrence River remain open in the winter.
