Lifeboat volunteers from Sunderland RNLI were called into action shortly before eight o’clock on Bonfire Night [Wednesday, November 5th] to assist the crew of a 7 metre fishing boat which had suffered electrical failure during a fishing trip.
Coastguards were made aware of the crew’s plight after they made an emergency VHF Radio transmission which was answered by Humber Coastguard Marine Rescue Coordination Centre at Bridlington.
